A day with dispatch manager Peter Cremonese

Standing 195 centimetres tall and weighing 125 kilos: Peter Cremonese is a seasoned man who is hard to miss. And that's a good thing, because Karl's dispatch manager in Fahrenzhausen has a lot on his plate: "I coordinate the incoming orders with our production and the finished goods warehouse and, together with my team, ensure that our products arrive at our customers well packaged and on time."

Despite only being 47 years old, Cremonese is almost part of Karl's inventory, as he has been with the company since 1983, following in the footsteps of his father, who had already been working in the workshop and later as a bus and lorry driver for the company for twenty years.

Over the years, Cremonese Junior has worked his way up from fitter to his current position and is held in high regard by both superiors and colleagues. "I like the way we deal with each other in the company, we are one big family at Karl without elbowing each other and that is certainly one of the reasons why things are going so well here," says Cremonese. From the point of view of his colleagues, there's one thing that Peter does a little too well - namely playing sheepshead at lunchtime! "Luck likes to play into my hands, what can I do?" he says with a mischievous grin.

In his free time, he enjoys cycling or proving his accuracy with an air rifle at the shooting club. When it comes to food and holidays, his Italian roots come to the fore. "My Bavarian is worlds better than my Italian, but I love Italian cuisine. A good portion of spaghetti and preferably on holiday with my relatives on the Adriatic - perfect!"
